Interaction of Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid & White, 1919) Chitwood, 1949 Race 3 with javanica (Treub, 1885) in Tomato and Pepper

More than one species root-knot nematodes can attack field vegetables they interact each other. In this study, the interaction race M. on susceptible host plants (Falkon Sena) were investigated a growth room fully controlled conditions. Experiments arranged as randomized block design four replications. The incidence two tomato pepper hosts determined by esterase phenotypes. No was observed between after mixed inoculation 1000 J2 plant (P≤0.05). Among pepper, only increased, while not detected plants.

Screening Subterranean Clover (Trifolium spp.) Germplasm for Resistance to Meloidogyne species.
This study was conducted to identify lines of subterranean clover (Trifolium spp.) with resistance to Meloidogyne arenaria (Neal, 1989) Chitwood, 1949, race 1; M. incognita (Kofoid and White, 1919) Chitwood, 1949, race 3; and M. javanica (Treub, 1885) Chitwood, 1949. A collection of 134 subterranean clover lines was evaluated and all had intermediate to high susceptibility. Root galling was neg...
متن کاملIdentification of field populations of Meloidogyne spp. by chromosome number.
Identification of species of Meloidogyne Goeldi, 1887 is fi-equently accomplished by using perineal patterns and morphometrics, but intraspecific populations are not easily distinguished. Chromosome numbers have been determined for 10 (6) of the 36 species of Meloidogyne which are currently recognized (1, 5). Four of these species have a range of chromosome numbers. This chromosome range permit...

متن کاملThe root-knot nematode Meloidogyne javanica (Treub.) Chitwood and the fungus
Incidence and severity of root-rot caused by the fungus Macrophomina phaseoli was increased in screenhouse-grown kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) seedlings simultaneously infected by the nematode Meloidogyne javanica. In seedlings inoculated at 5, 10 and 15 days of age, root rot lesions increased 70.3, 44.1 and 21.8%, and nematode penetration increased 49.0, 36.7, and 12.3% when both fungus and n...
متن کاملEFFECT OF SOME INDIGENOUS ISOLATES OF Trichoderma harzianum ON ROOT KNOT NEMATODE, Meloidogyne javanica (TREUB) CHITWOOD
Soil and root samples of tomato were collected from root knot nematode-infested fields of fifteen different localities of Malakand and Swat (NWFP) Pakistan in 2006-07 and Trichoderma harzianum was isolated from these samples. These isolates were tested against Meloidogyne javanica (Treub) Chitwood in the in vitro. Isolates Th1 and Th9, collected from Jabban and Shamozai were more aggressive tha...
